Race Day Kit Checklist for Juniors

This is a guide to the items you need to remember for your race.  We suggest you pack your kit bag the night before, having checked everything during the few days before your race.  You don’t want to find you have a puncture and no spare inner tube the night before your race!  Where possible, label your kit so it can be returned to its rightful owner.

Swim:

  • Swimming costume or trisuit
  • Swim hat (these are compulsory for some races – check your race instructions)
  • Swimming goggles

Bike and Run:

  • Serviced mountain or road bike (well looked after bikes go faster!)
  • Cycle Helmet (you MUST remember this as you will not be allowed to race without one!)
  • Cycling shoes (generally used by older competitors) and elastic bands to hold in place on bike
  • Running shoes with elastic laces fitted (make sure they are not too tight)
  • T-shirt (you cannot race with a bare chest)
  • Number belt or safety pins if you don’t own one
  • Drinks bottle on bike (suggested for older riders – optional)
