Team combination

Teams can be from 3 to 5 people from the above categories. To improve a team’s chances of winning the team would ideally be made up of competitors from different categories. For example, if a team of 4 competitors are all from the same category then the best they could theoretically position is 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th, which would be rather good, but not as good as a team of 4 competitors from different categories who could theoretically place 1st, 1st, 1st and 1st.

Teams can be made up of members of different clubs.

Team scoring

At least 3 Team Members must complete the race with no DNFs, DQs for scores to be considered.

Within each qualifying team, the average of the rankings per category will be calculated.

If teams are drawn equal, the highest rankings will determine position. If still equal after this the result will be declared a draw.

There will be prizes for first, second and third team.

Novice Race

(Defined as anyone having competed in less than 3 mulitsport events)

Novices will complete a reduced course to encourage participation and will compete according to age and male/female category.
